Envío a través de este mensaje todo mi agradecimiento y un abrazo fraternal a quienes tomaron la acertada decisión de ver nuestra querida Ciudad Juárez como la sede de un evento trascendental para la vida deportiva de miles de competidores y de las familias fronterizas que sabemos disfrutaran.

Este servidor de ustedes, Cruz Pérez Cuellar como Presiente Municipal de esta Heroica Ciudad Juárez,  considerada una puerta para entrar al país más maravilloso y bello del mundo como lo acentuó en su momento el cantautor Juan Gabriel, tengo el honor de dar la bienvenida a todos ustedes los atletas, entrenadores y directivos que conforman el  North, Central American and Caribbean Masters Athletics ("NCCMA") a esta su casa.

Convencido estoy que Ciudad Juárez, en poco tiempo ha logrado llamar la atención de un planeta cambiante, por la excelente organización de los deportes en cualquiera de sus disciplinas.

​

Qué su amable gente pone el todo el corazón por vivir mejor al reconocer que con trabajo duro y mucha  resiliencia, se pueden hacer las cosas bien para todos.

​

En ciudad Juárez amamos el deporte, porque sabemos que es una herramienta perfecta para formar hombres y mujeres de bien, por ello confiamos que todos se contagiaran de un espíritu de competitividad y entusiasmo aun y quienes practican otros deportes, que no sea el atletismo.

​

Como jefe de la comuna, he girado la instrucción al director del Instituto Municipal del Deporte y Cultura Física Juan Escalante, para que enfoque su personal y toda su energía con un solo objetivo, que los trabajos de estos próximos días que se realizará el North, Central American and Caribbean Masters Athletics ("NCCMA"), fortalezca lo necesario para que el atletismo brille a nivel mundial,  desde esta gran ciudad.

De igual manera, las demás dependencias municipales harán lo necesario, para que los visitantes conozcan nuestra, cultura, gastronomía, seguridad, nuestros atardeceres y sobre todo la amabilidad de nuestra gente y el cuidado de quienes están de paso.

​

Tengan por seguro que a todos los atletas de los 31 países que forman una de las seis regiones del World Masters Athletics, volverán a casa con un buen sabor de boca y con la aspiración de regresar pronto a esta nuestra amada ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

I send through this message all my gratitude and a fraternal hug to those who made the wise decision to choose our beloved Ciudad Juárez as the venue for a momentous event in the sporting lives of thousands of competitors and the border families who we know will enjoy it.

As your servant, Cruz Pérez Cuellar, the Mayor of this Heroic Ciudad Juárez, considered a gateway to the most marvelous and beautiful country in the world, as emphasized by the singer-songwriter Juan Gabriel at one point, I have the honor of welcoming all of you athletes, coaches, and officials who constitute the North, Central American and Caribbean Masters Athletics ("NCCMA") to this, your home.

I am convinced that Ciudad Juárez has quickly drawn the attention of a changing planet due to its excellent organization of sports in any of its disciplines. Its kind-hearted people put their whole heart into living better by recognizing that with hard work and resilience, we can do things right for everyone.

In Ciudad Juárez, we love sports because we know it's a perfect tool for shaping good men and women. Therefore, we trust that everyone will be inspired by a spirit of competitiveness and enthusiasm, even those who practice sports other than athletics.

As the head of the municipality, I have instructed the director of the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture, Juan Escalante, to focus his staff and all his energy on one goal: to ensure that the work to be done in the coming days for the North, Central American and Caribbean Masters Athletics ("NCCMA") strengthens what is necessary for athletics to shine on a global scale, from this great city.

Similarly, other municipal departments will do what is necessary to ensure that visitors get to know our culture, gastronomy, security, our sunsets, and above all, the kindness of our people and the care for those passing through.

Rest assured that all the athletes from the 31 countries that make up one of the six regions of World Masters Athletics will return home with a good taste in their mouths and the aspiration to return soon to our beloved Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
